Indrapramit Roy (b. 1964) is a renowned contemporary Indian artist known for his compelling visual language and explorations of identity and self.
He completed his BFA in Printmaking from Visva-Bharati University and MFA in Painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He further pursued MA Painting at the Royal College of Art as an Inlaks Scholar, with additional exposure in Paris and Berlin.
With 16 solo exhibitions and participation in over 90 group shows worldwide, his work has been exhibited across India and internationally, including New York, London, and the Cairo Biennale. He has also created a major mural at Mumbai International Airport.
A recipient of prestigious fellowships such as the Fulbright Fellowship (USA) and Government of India Research Fellowship, he has been teaching at MSU Baroda since 1995 and currently serves as Associate Professor and Dean of Students.
Based in Vadodara, he continues to contribute significantly to contemporary art and education
