Prof. (Dr.) Jadunath Prasad Das (1933–2023) was a distinguished cardiologist, educator, and pioneer of modern cardiology in Odisha, widely known as the “Father of Cardiology in Odisha.”
Born in Khordha, he completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College and Hospital and later received advanced training in the UK. He played a key role in establishing the Department of Cardiology at SCB Medical College, serving as its first Head and developing it into a leading cardiac care centre.
Alongside his medical achievements, he had a deep passion for art and literature, organizing exhibitions and writing poetry. His legacy continues to inspire generations in both medicine and the arts.
